Summers were great living on Pickett Court in Lake Wilderness 2!  Our kids walked every day to the pool, beach, lake, basketball court, tennis court and park.  Our son went to the basketball court, while the girls would hang out on the pier over the lake or hang out in the shaded pavilion at the park.  They all became very fast swimmers and would walk to and from the pool for the Lake Wilderness Swim Team that competes locally. 

The back of the property backs up to National Park Battlefield Property and has a trail just beyond the property line where we would walk after work.  In the mornings, as the sun rose through the National Park, we occasionally would see deer run through while Hummingbirds, Cardinals and Chickadees would frequent the back porch. 

Every 4^th of July we invited our friends and family over and walked down to the lake to watch the fireworks put on by the LW Clubhouse over the lake. No matter the season, we all enjoyed the hot tub especially at night under the stars.  Our kids attended Brock Road Elementary, Ni River Middle and Riverbend High School.
