There have been countless evenings that we have sat outside and visited with friends or enjoyed our family being together.  The abundance of small and large trees provides a natural screen from the neighbors and gives us many opportunities to watch the countless birds and squirrels that enjoy the food that we put out.  We have even had the random Bald Eagle and Coopers Hawk visit us. One year we even had a family of Virginia Flying Squirrels living in one of the trees which was very cool. We created a large raised garden that we grow tomatoes, squash, and other fruits and vegetables in and enjoy as they ripen. The yard gives us a sense of being in a more remote area just outside our back door.”

The photos and video give some credibility to what an wonderful venue for entertaining that this home provides.  I have thoroughly enjoyed hearing the stories the owners have shared with us as we were preparing to list the home for sale.  And, I must say, they are creative folks…

“The open layout of the home has allowed us to host many friends over the years. We had a Dinner and a Murder party for our daughter’s birthday which had a speakeasy theme to it. The very large family room allows us to stretch out while not entertaining or sit comfortably when friends or family visit. We have even started keeping Play-Doh, sidewalk chalk, and bubbles on-hand for when they stop by. Quite often when we are working in the yard they assist us by planting, weeding, and watering. When big jobs present themselves our other neighbors often provide assistance and we do in-kind, whether shoveling snow or planting trees, we have been there for each other.

The neighborhood is conveniently located close to schools, shopping, restaurants, Interstate Highway 95, and the soon-to-open Spotsylvania VRE stop. Additionally, historic downtown Fredericksburg is minutes away as are the battlefields, and many parks.

 

We have created many memories in this home and community that we will cherish and hope that the new homeowners will be as adventurous as we have been and seek out all that the area offers.”
